5.5 Things You Don’t Know About The Buzzard Orchestral
The Buzzard Orchestral’s new single, One Stone, dropped on TJWS recently. So we thought we’d find out a little more about what makes these cats tick. And rock.
Here’s The Buzzard Orchestral:
Tell us about the first time you heard yourself on the radio
Benny’s got this one: “I was 13, my mate Matt and I played Jack Johnson tunes on a radio show in a swanky hotel in Marbella. There was a free all you can eat buffet, swimming pool and private beach. Best day ever.”
What non-instrumental sound or sounds do you love?
Ned: “Yoko Ono…farting” if that’s too leftfield then just say “the crackle of a fire”. ooh and vinyl crackle…general crackling.
Lewis: if you put a slinky to your ear and drop it on the floor it sounds awesome. Seriously, try it. Sort of like an old school Ray-gun sound effect.
What is something you still want to learn from life?
Ned: “How do you make cheese???!. I Need to work that one out one day.”
Lewis: I’d love to learn how to sleep in the best pattern to be most effective. If there is a way to manufacture hours that’d be perfect too…
What’s your favorite kind of sandwich and what would you wash it down with?
Benny: “Red wine flambéed chorizo chunks, with mozzarella, rocket, avocado, salt, pepper, balsamic glaze, drizzle of olive oil in *lightly* toasted ciabatta bread.”
What one song never ever leaves your music player’s playlist?
Ned: “Zeppelin’s ‘The Song Remains The Same’. I’ve never been able to put that track down…the constant melee of guitars pumps me up every time. ”
