Often described as ‘quirky and unusual’. Malory has a rare sound using a combination of ukulele, guitar and banjo to create her indie/pop originals. She’s a prolific songwriter , in the summer of 2013 Malory was featured as‘Uncharted Territory’ artist of the week by Richard Madeley on Terry Wogan’s show on BBCRadio2. Her track ‘Heart of Gold’ was played on Dermot O’Leary’s show on BBCRadio2 in August. She was recently awarded runner up with her song ‘Utopian World’ in the national Song Academy Young Songwriter Competition 2013
Drawing upon her mixed background, having lived in both South Africa and Mexico, Malory creates music with the lyrics at the heart of every song. Her inspiration ranges from the song writing of legends, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell to the alternative styles of tUnE-yArDs, Dr Dog and St Vincent.
