More about the artists

EMILY CAPELL

Emily Capell tells blues inflected, indiepop tales of life’s frustrations and elations. Whether she’s railing against the wrongs of the world, getting a little frisky or inventing a new dance craze,  Emily will pull you in and spin you round so quickly you’ll wonder why you ever bothered with dull generic boys with guitars. Her current  acoustic single Who Killed Smiley Culture / Plastic is available on Blang Records

“Probably the artist that Lily Allen wishes she was; alternative, witty, current and fresh.” – Sounds XP

“Managing to carve their own niche in an increasingly crowded revivalist movement…this young band occupy an all-too-rare position in recognising those touchstones, without ever actually ‘borrowing’ from them.” – Jonathan Cridford, One & Other
