Interview: Campbell Davis and Jim VanCleve on recording Howl at the Moon
I was lucky enough to sit in on some of the final recording sessions here in Walla Walla with local musician Campbell Davis. However, the record began it’s recording process in Nashville a few months ago when Campbell incited the help of award winning fiddle player, founding member of the bluegrass band Mountain Heart and (obviously) prolific record producer Jim VanCleve. He joined us for this chat as well, and I got a unique insight into Nashville recording sessions, the place songs come from inside a 16 year old, and we even get an exclusive sneak peek with your ears at a single from this album, Howl at the Moon.
