Free Music Feature
Welcome to the Justin Wayne Show’s Free Music Feature blog, written by our own Claire Rozario! She features one new free track each week on the blog that’s hot, sweet and ready for your ears.
If you are currently offering a free song and would like Claire to consider it for her blog, contact her via email: claire (at) thejustinwayneshow (dot) com. Please include:
- A short description of your track and you (band, artist, or dog-and-pony show)
- A link to the site where it’s streamable, embeddable and downloadable – Bandcamp or Soundcloud are good options.
- Reason WHY she should include it.
If you’re a reader – that’s ACE and welcome. Let me know if you find anything that should be on this blog too!
January Man by Victory Kicks – Free Music Feature MP3
Just released on the 22nd of July, Victory Kicks has a new single out called “January Man”. It’s pretty lovely and we think you’ll agree it’s worth a free download, as well as it’s b-side, “Letter to the Editor.” I’ll also tell you it’s off their new 7 song EP Rockets for Ghosts and you should pick that up too, although it’ll cost you a mere ₤3.50 (that’s like $5.)
These guys are based out of London, UK so if you are too, I highly suggest looking them up and catching them when they play a venue near you.
Go check them out…
- on their Bandcamp page
- on Facebook
- or on Twitter.

Free MP3s from Jeff Campbell
Jeff Campbell just sent us songs this week to play on our show and also told us he’s just been picked out of 13,000 entrants to be a Top 10 finalist in the 2013 Guitar Center Singer Songwriter competition. Free: Roaming Herds of Buffalo Debut Album
This Seattle band is, in my mind, producing some of the most darling indie nerd rock I’ve found in these last two years. There’s just something about Scott Root’s songwriting that makes me feel smarter and warms my heart. Roaming Herds of Buffalo’s music is well written and sounds like Scott’s found another group of enthusiastic musicians after Skeletons with Flesh on Them parted ways. As we’re now much closer to Seattle than we ever have been, I look forward to getting a chance to see these guys live very soon.
This is the best free (and quite possibly including your paid) album you’ll download this year.

Free EP from The Nature of Ghosts: Molded Chrome
Four free MP3s from the upcoming EP release “Molded Chrome” from The Nature of Ghosts. They won’t be free for very long, so download them fast if you want them!
Lonely minds, haunted nights, and empty bourbon bottles define the nature of ghosts southern gothic songs. They wander through rural back roads telling stories of a decaying American landscape filled with broken families, hard times, and unhinged killers.
TNOG’s E.P., Molded Chrome, pits the stories against a delicious sense of dark humor. Musically, multi-instrumentalist Allen Terhune’s songwriting, playing, and recording values have never been sharper.
Seeds for the nature of ghosts were planted in 1979 when Allen Terhune and Randy Combs walked into an ancient studio at Ball State University. Terhune played while Combs turned dials. The whereabouts of those vanished session tapes remain a mystery. Over the years, their passion for music and words culminated in the nature of ghosts project.

Taylor Swift (ly) Run Away With Me – The Clintons
In hopes that Taylor will accept their invitation to play mini golf, The Clintons new music video is a tribute to these Taylor Swift videos: Mine, You Belong With Me, Back To December, Love Story, Fifteen, White Horse, Picture to Burn, & Teardrops On My Guitar. They need your help sharing this video across the web so that one day The Clintons and Taylor will share a mini golf course…hopefully with the same tee time. Please share!
And grab your free download from their site (it’s under the video on clintonsband.com).
