5.5 Questions With Bronsen Euard

Bronsen Euard’s song laid back and groovy tune “Keeping Warm” made the Justin Wayne Show playlist a couple weeks ago. The Lake City, Pennsylvania native stopped by the JWS chatroom and answered 5.5 Questions.

When you’re onstage, what’s different about you from the every day you?

Ooh that’s a good one. I believe it’s sort of a trance if you want to call it that. I get completely into it. Normally I’m kind of a goof. I like to joke around but on stage I think the side of me that wants to be serious comes out. Maybe it’s because of how much I care about what I do.

Tell us about the first time you heard yourself on the radio.

The first time I heard myself after I was on the radio was when I was still getting a hang of recording music. I was a little embarrassed but I got to be on the radio and that was a big step. So it was kind of a mixed feeling between wanting to improve and taking a second to be proud of what I’d done. And by the way I’m still getting the hang of recording music haha. It’s never perfect.

What’s been your most memorable performance ever?

It was a gig called “Erie All Stars.” For the record Erie is the city where I’m from in PA. I had been working and I had gotten to do these live gigs on the radio and I was making ground and I wasn’t expecting what we had that day. There was probably around 3,000 people who had come out to show support and for someone such as myself who has played around small venues and bars and coffee shops it was just incredible. The sun was setting and I got to pour my heart out for somewhere that I didn’t consider home until that night. It made me feel like I was doing the right thing. I treasure the image I have in my head. Also, the wind was so bad that our amps were blowing away. So that was added a little spontaneity to the situation.

You’re listening to a song you love. How many more listens does it take before you hate the song?

I think it depends on the context of the song. If it’s a catchy tune with no real depth but that still has a great hook then probably around 20. At 10-15, I’ll start to get a little bored. But there are a few songs that are always great because they mean something to me. But “Happy” got old real quick.Maybe 30 is a better estimate. I haven’t thought about this much.

What’s your favorite kind of cookie?

Oreos. Gotta have oreos with milk. I can eat a box at a time.
