Episode 73: One for 2009

The pre-Christmas show being released post-Christmas style!  You know what they say, “live by the tech, die by the tech…”

But we’ve got a record-breaking thirty-three tracks including some of the best of the year!  Stay glued to this site for the nomination shows preceding our Birthday awards show coming up the first week in February.  Yup, that’s right, we’re turning two-years-old soon!

Also, don’t forget to check out David Couch’s review of the fab record Ulysses by the San Franciscan Goh Nakamura. It’s not far down via the scroll bar.

Episode 66: The Wrath of Wayne

Zalinski

Zalinski

Yeah, it’s Halloween.  Creepy stuff is bound to happen, especially on an episode 66!

The Justin Wayne Show indulges in our first Track of the Week (or TOTW as it’s called around the campfire) with a very great track called “Honesty Policy” by a new band to the show, Zalinski.  They’ve just recorded their second EP and we’re excited to get our dirty little finger and paws all over it.

Our first video feature, direct from Colin’s Weekly Music Video Podcast is Vitriol by another new band to the show, Bluejuice.  These guys are absolutely amazing – so much so they don’t have to take anything seriously.  Have a look at their video for this song below.

Brett of Monumental Music Group joins us for a chat in the second half of the show as well as more discussion about Jordan’s alleged beard he’s trying to grow and things like that.

AND, and and… I forgot to mention this on the show but we’ve got a voicemail set up in the US now, thanks to our friends at drop.io (those same friendly folk who provide our FTP dropbox that’s so slick.)  It’s just there in the sidebar or dial (within the US or internationally it’s +1) 646-462-4073 and extension 15797.  Go on, leave us a message and we’ll get it onto the show.

That’s about it, let’s get this playlist out there.

Episode 33: St Paul

And the Justin Wayne Show’s Birthday Best marches toward us like a symphonic marching band across town. (Not my best analogy, but you get the point.) If you’re an independent musician, label, or otherwise interested in submitting your music for play on the show and possible play on the Birthday Best, then send it along to thejustinwayneshow@gmail.com. Isn’t gettin’ play always good? You can also ALWAYS find our contact info in the sidebar.

For those of you who saw The Birthday Best and did a “wha…?” It’s going to be our show the first weekend in February commemorating one year of The Justin Wayne Show. It will contain our 20 best songs on the year as well as appearances from at least two, if not all of our old co-hosting crew. Should be a fantastic show, no doubt!

…but what about episode 33?
