Having just been to Ariel Hyatt‘s keynote at PRS House presented by Evil Genius Media, I feel empowered to share their message onto you, not unlike someone who’s just entered a new religion.  It all seems so obvious and easy promoting your own music online… however, I understand that it’s WORK and not all of us have time for much of it.  However, the overarching theme was that you WILL have time for it if you just DO IT.

The best thing I learned was… 1. HAVE A PLAN.  2. DO SOMETHING.  Just doing things is OK, but it’s easy to get discouraged.  Having a plan helps with goal setting and organizing your time.  After that, it’s just work and time.  Do it.  You can.

Ariel’s done a fantastic guest blog post at CD Baby that you should check out, complete with the Musicians’ Social Media Pyramid if you’re a bit lost on how and what to tweet.

We did play lots of great music today on the show – lots of new stuff and a few we met at the event.

Two great guests on the show today, and I’m very excited to present this show to you.

Our second guest this week is Elizabeth Wood from LiveUnsigned.com.  Their website lists only indie and microlabel artists’ gigs around the world – a great resource for those of us who travel and want to find new music wherever we are.  They’ve just done a bunch of upgrading to their site and Elizabeth also share some very exciting news on who they may be working with in the future.

A few quick announcements:

Black Bikini Alpha

With an interview with Phil of Modern Cliches, another Track of the Week, a review, and launching the new voicemail (it’s a US number, so +1, then 646-462-4073 and extension 15797) to we’ve got quite the packed show this week!

First, Phil joins us for a chat about the upcoming Modern Cliches double A side, about upcoming gigs and other things.

The Track of the Week comes to us from our new friends over at Futureproof Records and Promotions.  They’re called Black Bikini Alpha and their newest single, “Nightmare” drops at the end of the month (the 29th of November.)

We’ve also got “Soar”, a pre-release track from the upcoming Zalinski EP release called Actions, Reactions and Misunderstandings.  It’s quite good, and we’re gonna have them on the show for an interview next week so make sure you come back.
