The Cowboy Cantor was in this week and it was great to get some live banter back on the show, especially with a podcaster whom I respect so much. Rodrigo de Sa from The Cowboy Cantor Podcast was here and we really enjoyed having him on the show.

The Track of the Week comes from The Paper Arrows who had originally submitted to Insomnia Radio Chicago but I put my arm around them and said, “come over here and play, too!” They, of course, agreed and thus they’ve hit big on this week’s show.

Also Peter Renzullo is back with Scudley Sessions Episode 3! He’s got the lovely Pins and Ladles with him. Listen to the show, the pop over to the Scudley Sessions mini site and read all about it. Also hit up Peter and their great indie label at Scudley Records dot com.

We’ve also debuted our first dub-step track from DJ Hylu (is it “dub step” or “dub-step”? The dash in or out? I’m still new to this genre) this week as David’s hit a very interesting story this past week. Dubscover and Techscover are nights dedicated to new and up-and-coming dub and tech artists run by the promotions group, Organix. They had a bit of a tiff with a former colleague who decided to become a member of the BNP, so they booted him on his backside and joined up with Love Music Hate Racism. We’ll be speaking more with them about all this soon, but now check out David’s article about their recent Dubscover night at Gramaphone in East London.

<itunes:summary>The Cowboy Cantor was in this week and it was great to get some live banter back on the show, especially with a podcaster whom I respect so much. Rodrigo de Sa from The Cowboy Cantor Podcast (http://cowboycantor.libsyn.com/)was here and we really enjoyed having him on the show.

The Track of the Week comes from The Paper Arrows (http://myspace.com/thepaperarrows)who had originally submitted to Insomnia Radio Chicago (http://chicago.insomniaradio.net) but I put my arm around them and said, "come over here and play, too!" They, of course, agreed and thus they've hit big on this week's show.

Also Peter Renzullo is back with Scudley Sessions (http://thejustinwayneshow.com/category/scudley-sessions/) Episode 3! He's got the lovely Pins and Ladles (http://myspace.com/pinsandladles) with him. Listen to the show, the pop over to the Scudley Sessions mini site (http://thejustinwayneshow.com/category/scudley-sessions/) and read all about it. Also hit up Peter and their great indie label at Scudley Records dot com (http://scudleyrecords.com).

We've also debuted our first dub-step track from DJ Hylu (http://www.myspace.com/djhylu) (is it "dub step" or "dub-step"? The dash in or out? I'm still new to this genre) this week as David's hit a very interesting story this past week. Dubscover and Techscover (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=188232200303) are nights dedicated to new and up-and-coming dub and tech artists run by the promotions group, Organix. They had a bit of a tiff with a former colleague who decided to become a member of the BNP, so they booted him on his backside and joined up with Love Music Hate Racism (http://lovemusichateracism.com). We'll be speaking more with them about all this soon, but now check out David's article about their recent Dubscover night at Gramaphone in East London. (http://thejustinwayneshow.com/2010/04/the-agenda-dubscover-and-techscover/)
We're also heading to see Jon Byrne (http://www.myspace.com/jonbyrnemusic) at the 12 Bar Club in Central London and we'll have pictures fo you next week.

The second annual Birthday Best Awards have arrived again, meaning that The Justin Wayne Show is now two-years old! Wow… we’re gonna be gnawing on the sides of coffee tables and opening doors we shouldn’t soon!

As far as those doors we should open, we ran down the top 25 songs of the year voted on by four of us here at JW towers and many of you – over 350 of you! Thanks for doing that, we appeciate it. The feedback form is still up, but on a different page – http://thejustinwayneshow.com/feedback if you fancy giving us your opinion. We’re going to be making some changes here in our third year, let us know what you’d like to see happen!

I must give a big thanks to a few people, as I tend to do this time of year, for making this all possible. First, Jason for his writing and encouragement, Ryan Flynn for the theme song, and Jamie for her unconditional love and support. David Couch for coming on and writing for us (he even came down and helped me do this show!)

David and Justin

Also thanks to Jordan, Dave, Alex and Minki at Recharged Radio and Jarrod on Tourdates for their big boost into the live radio world again this year. And, I can’t forget to thank our new cat (and JW Show mascot) Puck! Thanks for not chewing through the power cord! It’s been an amazing year. I’m excited to dig into year three with so many great allies!

As is also customary with this awards show, I don’t want to spoil the winners for those that missed the live show or always listen to the podcast. I will still put the top 25 songs below but the actual list, in order won’t be available in a text form until next week. You’ll have to actually listen to the show to find out!

The awards that are up for grabs:

Best Song of the Year

Best Band Name of the Year

As far as those doors we should open, we ran down the top 25 songs of the year voted on by four of us here at JW towers and many of you - over 350 of you! Thanks for doing that, we appeciate it. The feedback form is still up, but on a different page - http://thejustinwayneshow.com/feedback (http://thejustinwayneshow.com/feedback) if you fancy giving us your opinion. We're going to be making some changes here in our third year, let us know what you'd like to see happen!

Also thanks to Jordan, Dave, Alex and Minki at Recharged Radio and Jarrod on Tourdates for their big boost into the live radio world again this year. And, I can't forget to thank our new cat (and JW Show mascot) Puck! Thanks for not chewing through the power cord! It's been an amazing year. I'm excited to dig into year three with so many great allies!

As is also customary with this awards show, I don't want to spoil the winners for those that missed the live show or always listen to the podcast. I will still put the top 25 songs below but the actual list, in order won't be available in a text form until next week. You'll have to actually listen to the show to find out!

The awards that are up for grabs:

	* Best Artist of the Year
	* Best Song of the Year
	* Best Band Name of the Year
	* Presenter’s Picks (Each Presenter gets one of these)

Thanks goes out to all of you listeners and visitors as it’s Thanksgiving! Yaaayy! (Yes, I did succeed in eating so much I was sick – though I wasn’t proper “sick” as the British might think, although two others at our gathering were…)

Also, yet another reminder to vote for us in the European Podcast Awards! You can vote once per day and time is running out (so I won’t be badgering you much longer!)

We’ve got a new Field track as the full disc has graced the top of my desk, all the way from Sacramento, California. I also thank just about everyone who’s helped (as it’s in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season) and discuss my grandma’s famous cinnamon rolls that I’m brewing up for my mates at work. Anyone interested in the recipe? If you ask really nice, maybe I’ll post it next week.

Give us a call on our new voice mail and leave some holiday cheer (that we’ll play on the show!) It’s a US number, or +1 for you outside of the US (and always posted in the sidebar at http://thejustinwayneshow.com) so dial 646-462-4073 with extension 15797. You can also record audio cheer and send it to us via email!

There’s also loads of other great music packed into the show as we’re reminding ourselves of why we began – the music. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the politics of associations and groups, the technical side of things, and everything else that gets in the way but it’s good to remember that we’re here for THE MUSIC and that’s what this show is about.
