Guests galore on the show this week including Peter Renzullo from Scudley Records talking about the record’s debut compilation disc, Folklore, Volume 1, out now for free download!
We’ve also got the Joe and Ollie from the Cardiff-based band OK courtesy of Futureproof Promotions in to chat with us about their upcoming full-length album release, Under the Weather but Over the Moon coming out on 14th of March shortly after the single, “It’s Not too Late” appears on the 7th of March (we’ve got the video posted below in our Video Feature). We’ll hear tunes from all of them as well as interviews with each of them.
 That band, "OK"
Track of the Week comes from the Birthday Best last week. Our Artist of the Year, Natasha Davies, gets her track “Giggle” as the TOTW for this week.
We’ll also be posting the Birthday Best list to the site, so if you’re still wondering if you were in the top 25 JW Show songs of the year and you’ve still been too lazy to listen to show 77, then you’ll be able to see them. Just head to http://thejustinwayneshow.com.
That’s about it for news! Here comes the playlist

 Puck
The second annual Birthday Best Awards have arrived again, meaning that The Justin Wayne Show is now two-years old! Wow… we’re gonna be gnawing on the sides of coffee tables and opening doors we shouldn’t soon!
As far as those doors we should open, we ran down the top 25 songs of the year voted on by four of us here at JW towers and many of you – over 350 of you! Thanks for doing that, we appeciate it. The feedback form is still up, but on a different page – http://thejustinwayneshow.com/feedback if you fancy giving us your opinion. We’re going to be making some changes here in our third year, let us know what you’d like to see happen!
I must give a big thanks to a few people, as I tend to do this time of year, for making this all possible. First, Jason for his writing and encouragement, Ryan Flynn for the theme song, and Jamie for her unconditional love and support. David Couch for coming on and writing for us (he even came down and helped me do this show!)
 David and Justin
Also thanks to Jordan, Dave, Alex and Minki at Recharged Radio and Jarrod on Tourdates for their big boost into the live radio world again this year. And, I can’t forget to thank our new cat (and JW Show mascot) Puck! Thanks for not chewing through the power cord! It’s been an amazing year. I’m excited to dig into year three with so many great allies!
As is also customary with this awards show, I don’t want to spoil the winners for those that missed the live show or always listen to the podcast. I will still put the top 25 songs below but the actual list, in order won’t be available in a text form until next week. You’ll have to actually listen to the show to find out!
The awards that are up for grabs:
- Best Artist of the Year
- Best Song of the Year
- Best Band Name of the Year
- Presenter’s Picks (Each Presenter gets one of these)
- Audience Choice Award
And the nominees are…
The Top 25 Songs Submitted to the Justin Wayne Show in 2009
(in no particular order… yet!)
The full playlist, in order, as well as the winners of the respective awards will be posted in text next week, but to find out just listen, download, or subscribe to this show right now! See you next week for the results.
Cheers,
~JW

Thanks goes out to all of you listeners and visitors as it’s Thanksgiving! Yaaayy! (Yes, I did succeed in eating so much I was sick – though I wasn’t proper “sick” as the British might think, although two others at our gathering were…)
Also, yet another reminder to vote for us in the European Podcast Awards! You can vote once per day and time is running out (so I won’t be badgering you much longer!)
We’ve got a new Field track as the full disc has graced the top of my desk, all the way from Sacramento, California. I also thank just about everyone who’s helped (as it’s in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season) and discuss my grandma’s famous cinnamon rolls that I’m brewing up for my mates at work. Anyone interested in the recipe? If you ask really nice, maybe I’ll post it next week.
Give us a call on our new voice mail and leave some holiday cheer (that we’ll play on the show!) It’s a US number, or +1 for you outside of the US (and always posted in the sidebar at http://thejustinwayneshow.com) so dial 646-462-4073 with extension 15797. You can also record audio cheer and send it to us via email!
There’s also loads of other great music packed into the show as we’re reminding ourselves of why we began – the music. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the politics of associations and groups, the technical side of things, and everything else that gets in the way but it’s good to remember that we’re here for THE MUSIC and that’s what this show is about.
Speaking of…
The Justin Wayne Show Episode 70: My Big Fat American Holiday
Come have some leftovers with us next week as we get ready to launch the nomination process for The Justin Wayne Show Birthday Best, 2010. Wanna see what it was like last year? The Justin Wayne Show Birthday Best 2009.
Cheers,
~JW

 Jordan's "Sandpaper"
So… this is Jordan about 10 minutes after shaving. How many times per day does he have to do this to maintain his baby face? He’s a committed individual, goes without saying. You don’t need to do all that WORK! Just grow it out and trim it once a week! BRIL!
(It’s actually George Michael, but doesn’t it look a lot like Jordan?!)
Oh yeah! We do a music show don’t we? RIGHT… Lots of great new tracks this week including a Monumental Music feature with Trenton and Free Radical, Gabby Young and Other Animals, and Lana all putting out singles or albums this coming week. Hit up Monumental Management for more info.
ALSO… the Return of the King… Bobby Scotch. The Spot with Bobby Scotch returns with a vengeance – and Kid A of ARM management bringing some fabulous tunes, tidings of The Spot being fully rekindled and burning away at http://bobbyscotch.com and he promises to come back to The Justin Wayne Show very soon.
No beards were harmed in the making of this podcast.
