It’s the first week that Mumin joins us in the studio as she’s producing her show live just before ours every fortnight.  Mark Riley, close personal friend of mine and founder of the north London group “Mostly”is also along with us and we’ll hear a cut of theirs in the second half of the show.  We’re packed with music this week, buckle up!

As to the time of writing, over 2,200 people have been arrested and 700 charged in the madness that was last weekend’s England Riots.  Cities all over England were hit by the madness of riots, looters, vandals, criminality, arson, and death.  Personally, it’s been an extremely frightening time and we are very lucky to have avoided any destruction to our personal property.  Many of which were not so lucky and there are charities popping up all over supporting them.  Recharged Radio’s Facebook page has more information about how you can help if you wish to.

We have a show where we bring up and discuss some of the issues surrounding the riots, and I appeal to any young person who was either involved in the rioting or understands the true reasoning behind the riots to come forward for an interview on the show.  If you are one of these or know someone who may be interested, send an email to justin (at) rechargedradio.com and we’ll get the ball rolling on that.

I have included some pictures (below) that I have taken around Enfield including my favourite picture of the Enfield printing shop that has done the “I (Heart) Enfield, Keep Smiling” posters.  Brilliant stuff, and a good reminder for all of us in these dark days.

Both The Walla Recovery and Nick Tann have been gracious enough to share their music with us in unique ways this week.  The Walla Recovery is our Free Music Feature this week, and includes the free mp3 of their tune, “She Said.” Nick Tann has just done the live, studio recording which will soon be pressed onto vinyl for his Vinyl Project, which you can still support on his webpage.

I am hoping to appease the podcast listeners of the show in the coming weeks… for good.  We are going to be releasing the podcasts of the show much closer to the broadcast times from now and in the future. We have been quite poor with this recently, and things are changing around here including an increase in efficieny practices that will make this possible.  Thank you to all of you who listen to the recorded shows via podcast subscription or on the site, we’ll take better care of you because there are SO MANY OF YOU.
