A weekly independent music show bringing underground, unsigned, and independent tunes to your ears. Playing music that deserves to be heard for those who deserve better music.
Yeah, it’s Halloween. Creepy stuff is bound to happen, especially on an episode 66!
The Justin Wayne Show indulges in our first Track of the Week (or TOTW as it’s called around the campfire) with a very great track called “Honesty Policy” by a new band to the show, Zalinski. They’ve just recorded their second EP and we’re excited to get our dirty little finger and paws all over it.
Our first video feature, direct from Colin’s Weekly Music Video Podcast is Vitriol by another new band to the show, Bluejuice. These guys are absolutely amazing – so much so they don’t have to take anything seriously. Have a look at their video for this song below.
Brett of Monumental Music Group joins us for a chat in the second half of the show as well as more discussion about Jordan’s alleged beard he’s trying to grow and things like that.
AND, and and… I forgot to mention this on the show but we’ve got a voicemail set up in the US now, thanks to our friends at drop.io (those same friendly folk who provide our FTP dropbox that’s so slick.) It’s just there in the sidebar or dial (within the US or internationally it’s +1) 646-462-4073and extension 15797. Go on, leave us a message and we’ll get it onto the show.
That’s about it, let’s get this playlist out there.
The Justin Wayne Show, Episode 66: The Wrath of Wayne
This show is all about the songs that should have, could have, but didn’t make the Top 20 this year. The show’s got LOTS of good music to play, so it’s not a shocker that we had lots to add to this “honorably mentioned” show.
Wanna hear the top 20 songs? Scroll down in the sidebar to the “Audio Vault” or click here (there’s a listen link on this): Birthday Best Blog Entry
Here’s all the honourably mentinoed tunes including a special Bobby Scotch appearance of The Spot. Thanks goodness he’s back!
The Justin Wayne Show – Episode 38: Birthday Best Revealed
It’s time for the changing of the guard in the Oval Office… and we’ve got some songs and commentary to celebrate.
Also, The Justin Wayne Show’s Birthday Best is coming up on February 9th so make sure you’ve got your subscriptions up to date and you’re ready to start guessing which bands are going to appear at the 20 best songs of the year are rolled out on the show.
Another interesting thing happening to the show is that we’re going to be visited by the CEO of Tourdates.co.uk. Jarrod Robinson is going to join us the week before the Birthday Best to tell us about his fantastic unsigned music website is helping unsigned musicians and music lovers in the UK and beyond! Don’t miss that show either.
But, what about this week’s show? It’s a good one, too… Obama, this one’s for you.
