It’s the first week that Mumin joins us in the studio as she’s producing her show live just before ours every fortnight.  Mark Riley, close personal friend of mine and founder of the north London group “Mostly”is also along with us and we’ll hear a cut of theirs in the second half of the show.  We’re packed with music this week, buckle up!

As to the time of writing, over 2,200 people have been arrested and 700 charged in the madness that was last weekend’s England Riots.  Cities all over England were hit by the madness of riots, looters, vandals, criminality, arson, and death.  Personally, it’s been an extremely frightening time and we are very lucky to have avoided any destruction to our personal property.  Many of which were not so lucky and there are charities popping up all over supporting them.  Recharged Radio’s Facebook page has more information about how you can help if you wish to.

We have a show where we bring up and discuss some of the issues surrounding the riots, and I appeal to any young person who was either involved in the rioting or understands the true reasoning behind the riots to come forward for an interview on the show.  If you are one of these or know someone who may be interested, send an email to justin (at) rechargedradio.com and we’ll get the ball rolling on that.

I have included some pictures (below) that I have taken around Enfield including my favourite picture of the Enfield printing shop that has done the “I (Heart) Enfield, Keep Smiling” posters.  Brilliant stuff, and a good reminder for all of us in these dark days.

Randy's Back MN!

Welcome to the show Sam Barnes who will become our rightful and long awaited American Football expert to talk through the Minnesota Vikings recent re-acquiring of tall, fast, mouthy wide receiver Randy Moss and we also get into some deeper issues about professional sports.  Should professional sports players be held to high morals or can we dismiss their personal lives.

Track of the Week this week goes to a great new submission from a contender for the 2011 Best Band Name Award: Titty Bingo.  We’re going to be hearing more from them in the coming weeks so I won’t spoil anything, but they’re FAB.  Do tune in for this and let us know what you think.

All of this (well, this week’s theme and show title, at least) was inspired by a Recharged Radio session by Robert Batley who played two long songs on this past week’s Friday Forum in his third live RR session.  You’ll hear one of his fantastic long tunes, “The Dance” on this week’s show.

Speaking of winning discs, it’s time to officially announce “The Scudley Sessions” our live sessions down in Perth, Austrailia at Scudley Records’ Studios with producer Pete Renzullo.  We interviewed him a few weeks back and liked him so much we asked him to stay!  He’s got some live sets and chats to the Perth artists, and we’re going to be launching it March 10th, so be there or be square.  More about this next week.

The bell rings in the Recharged Radio-wide battle to bring back the beard!  We discuss beards with the live chatroom while bringing you some great new stuff on the show including a new exclusive track from Field.
