Aside from this change in day of the week, it seems we’ve finally found a happy medium as things since we’ve returned have gone very smoothly. Both the quality of the shows and the regularity of the podcast posting has gone well, and we have had great response from all of you.

And I did have to include a picture of Keith Easton wearing his Justin Wayne Show tee-shirt (you can get yours here) as it’s very cute. You can see the Deadly Winters EP in the background if you zoom in! Great product placement Keith, you can be my manager any day.

One of the tracks being played today is by a band called Black Lab. This band rocks, and I remember in the late 90′s seeing Paul Durham and his band at a small club where we used to live. It was electrifying and was one of the indie sparks that remains to this day. Regardless of one’s age, artists come along that we connect with. Black Lab/Paul Durham in the late 90′s was a connection like Springsteen in the 70′s and Pearl Jam in the early 90′s was for me. As I fast forward to today’s indie music, that very same search leads to new and great discoveries. The Justin Wayne Show has exposed me to many great artists, and I particularly like the Clintons, Loomis and the Lust, and Titty Bingo. Great indie artists and worth checking out.

…and start being interesting. Great advice from some of these new “social media gurus” and such types of people. But, be that as it may, I think it’s great advice and I am very glad that we’ve reached a time where technology makes us that much more accountable for what we do. It’s not enough to just SAY that you’re interesting, you have to SHOW it. DO it.

Soap box.

We’ve got some special things happening on the show this week including tracks from the up and coming sessions with Steve Honest near Old Street. We’re calling them “The Church with Steve Honest” and it should be great fun. Watch this space (although I hate it when people say that) for more info on that one.

Track of the Week

This week the band Mostly bring us a track from their just released live album “The Red Room Sessions” which you can grab on their Bandcamp page! It’s a good one, go grab yourself a digi-copy of the album.

And we’ve got some special gigs coming up, even one where you can see me strumming and singing… you’ll have to listen to the show (about 1 hour in is when we do the gig guide) for that special info.

For the rest of the show info…

<itunes:summary>...and start being interesting. Great advice from some of these new "social media gurus" and such types of people. But, be that as it may, I think it's great advice and I am very glad that we've reached a time where technology makes us that much more accountable for what we do. It's not enough to just SAY that you're interesting, you have to SHOW it. DO it.

(http://thejustinwayneshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/soapbox1-194x300.jpg)Soap box.

We've got some special things happening on the show this week including tracks from the up and coming sessions with Steve Honest near Old Street. We're calling them "The Church with Steve Honest" and it should be great fun. Watch this space (although I hate it when people say that) for more info on that one.

Track of the Week

This week the band Mostly (http://myspace.com/mostlyuk) bring us a track from their just released live album "The Red Room Sessions" which you can grab on their Bandcamp page (http://mostly.bandcamp.com)! It's a good one, go grab yourself a digi-copy of the album.

And we've got some special gigs coming up, even one where you can see me strumming and singing... you'll have to listen to the show (about 1 hour in is when we do the gig guide) for that special info.

That’s right, more interviews! With our first co-promoted gig coming up we’ve got Tom from Those Handsome Animals in to chat as they’re playing “Hijacked” at the Enfield Bar Form (just outside the Enfield Town BR station on Friday, 19th of Feb. It’s free in, 9pm we get the ball rollin’… We did talk about other music-related things too as not to totally alienate you poor non-Londoners.

We also spoke with the influential Trenton Birch of Trenton and Free Radical who, after many years of being involved in the music industry in different shapes, roles, and places has brought a truly international group together to make some top-notch hip-hop with a message of change. Don’t worry, he never gets too preachy (in his music or in the interview) but is very humble and we really enjoyed having him on, too. Wanna see for real how fun he is, we’ve included the video of his first single “Sunless Sundays” below in our video feature for this week.
