 Those Handsome Animals That’s right, more interviews! With our first co-promoted gig coming up we’ve got Tom from Those Handsome Animals in to chat as they’re playing “Hijacked” at the Enfield Bar Form (just outside the Enfield Town BR station on Friday, 19th of Feb. It’s free in, 9pm we get the ball rollin’… We did talk about other music-related things too as not to totally alienate you poor non-Londoners.
We also spoke with the influential Trenton Birch of Trenton and Free Radical who, after many years of being involved in the music industry in different shapes, roles, and places has brought a truly international group together to make some top-notch hip-hop with a message of change. Don’t worry, he never gets too preachy (in his music or in the interview) but is very humble and we really enjoyed having him on, too. Wanna see for real how fun he is, we’ve included the video of his first single “Sunless Sundays” below in our video feature for this week.
 Trenton and Free Radical We’ve also got some great new submissions including a few from the Recharged Radio Head of Music, Alex. Thanks, mate!
And, it’s my duty to announce that we’re going to be hearing more from Peter and his independent music crowd down in Perth, Australia (Scudley Records) in the form of the Scudley Sessions. Some live performances along with interviews. More on this in the coming weeks.

 Puck The second annual Birthday Best Awards have arrived again, meaning that The Justin Wayne Show is now two-years old! Wow… we’re gonna be gnawing on the sides of coffee tables and opening doors we shouldn’t soon!
As far as those doors we should open, we ran down the top 25 songs of the year voted on by four of us here at JW towers and many of you – over 350 of you! Thanks for doing that, we appeciate it. The feedback form is still up, but on a different page – http://thejustinwayneshow.com/feedback if you fancy giving us your opinion. We’re going to be making some changes here in our third year, let us know what you’d like to see happen!
I must give a big thanks to a few people, as I tend to do this time of year, for making this all possible. First, Jason for his writing and encouragement, Ryan Flynn for the theme song, and Jamie for her unconditional love and support. David Couch for coming on and writing for us (he even came down and helped me do this show!)
 David and Justin Also thanks to Jordan, Dave, Alex and Minki at Recharged Radio and Jarrod on Tourdates for their big boost into the live radio world again this year. And, I can’t forget to thank our new cat (and JW Show mascot) Puck! Thanks for not chewing through the power cord! It’s been an amazing year. I’m excited to dig into year three with so many great allies!
As is also customary with this awards show, I don’t want to spoil the winners for those that missed the live show or always listen to the podcast. I will still put the top 25 songs below but the actual list, in order won’t be available in a text form until next week. You’ll have to actually listen to the show to find out!

Great stuff this week as Track of the Week goes to the new track from Project called “The Compass” and our video feature is a smashing video from the boys over at The Scratch of their song, “Teen Idol.” We played the song on the show and the video is here on the website.
 As for the title of this show… Yeah, I typed it out because I don’t wanna be misheard. It is the future now, and I want to make sure it’s pronounced properly!
(Remember this film which came out in 1984 starring none other than Mr. Jaws himself Roy Schieder? How come we haven’t discovered new life on other planets yet? It seems like it’s about time!)
Well, we have discovered new music! (Great segue… I know…) And we’re gearing up for another great year here at The Justin Wayne Show and at Recharged Radio. We’ll be putting out two podcasts, apart from the regular show that will contain all of the nominees for our Anniversary Awards Show coming up on the 3rd of February, The Birthday Best.
You’ll get to vote, too! We’ll be putting up the ballot for you next week once the nominee podcasts are available to you can listen to all the nominees (the best tracks of the year… about 60 of them) and then pick your favorite to make the Audience Choice Award this year. That will be available next week. Cool, huh?
We think so. I’ve been getting ballots back from our staff here as well (as we have some awards chosen by the staff to give out as well) and it’s looking like it’s going to be an exciting show. Heck, it is the best music of the year!
