Brendan Gaspari

This is the sixth episode of the ‘Scudley Sessions’ hosted by Peter Renzullo.  This show is dedicated to bringing you the grass roots music of Perth, Western Australia – the most isolated city in the world.

Local Perth artist Brendan Gaspari comes in for a chat about his music and to perform 3 songs:

1. Beside Me
2. Start this again
3. Red blanket

Brendan Gaspari is an emerging solo artist from Perth, Western Australia.  Exploring the craft of songwritng and performance from an early age has resulted in a large number of accessible Acoustic/folk/pop songs.

Originally from the inspirational town of Albany, he has caught the attention of many W.A based competitions, performing both as a solo artist, and in numerous bands.

Most notably, his first band ‘Ulsta Rd’, were regional Grand Finalists of the prestigious Next big Thing Competition in 2004, and repeated that level of success again several years later, with current Acoustic Folk/Rock band, ‘Arons Crusade’.

In 2007 the sentimental folk love song, ‘All These Lovers’ was one of 5 nominees in the WAM Song of the year Competition, prompting him and ‘Arons Crusade’ to make the permanent move to Perth.
So between Co-songwritng, gigging and playing guitar with ‘Arons Crusade’, and just more recently being asked to fill lead guitar duties for Alternative Perth based Rock band ‘The Morning Night’, Brendan has recently put the final touches to a 5 song, Co-produced Ep, which is now avaliable for free at gigs.

This solo project will be supported by live performances throughout 2010, around the Perth and Fremantle original music scene.
