Interview Preview: Lily Verlaine and Jasper McCann Present Hotel Notél at Main Street Studios

Mar 20, 2014 by

I stole a few moments for an interview with Lily Verlaine and Jasper McCann, the two responsible for turning back the clock to 1964 at Main Street Studios on Friday, March 21st. They will be presenting a unique burlesque performance entitled Hotel Notél, the Party That Never Was. We discussed the beauty and intrigue of burlesque with it’s roots in feminism, how Lily discovered burlesque herself from beginnings as a classical ballerina and dancer, and the finer points about what will be taking place on Friday.

Prom Queen who are a lush, cinematic 60s-inspired solo project by Leeni. She composes all of her own original instrumental compositions from scratch and uses them as a backing track to live guitar and vocals, giving Prom Queen an authentic, moody, vintage sound. If David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino were to co-direct your prom, this would be the soundtrack.
