5.5 Questions With Lonna Marie

Oct 9, 2014 by

Lonna Marie describes herself as passionate singer songwriter. One listen to her music and you’ll find that’s an apt description.

She calls L.A. home right now and finds herself fascinated with the L.A. music scene.

Lonna Marie participated in this week’s 5.5 chat with 4 other musicians. Here are the results:

When you’re onstage, what’s different about you from the every day you?

Once I’m done with a performance I have so much more confidence talking and meeting with people.

Tell us about the first time you heard yourself on radio.

This is the closest thing to the radio I’ve been on and I had a huge smile on my face the whole time!! I can only imagine how I’m going to FREAK OUT when it hits radio.

What’s been your most memorable performance ever?

I think it has to be my very first show at the Whisky A Go Go here in LA — Had a great turn out and after m first song I had to stop and literally take in the moment. I’m pretty said I said something like “Sorry guys just zoned out, realizing where I’m playing right now” It was awesome. A great introduction to the LA music scene.

You’re listening to a song you love. How many more listens does it take before you hate the song?

That’s hard, it’s hard for me to LOVE a song so when I do it wins. I’ll say 204 just because that’s excessive.

What’s your favorite kind of cookie?

Honestly, I have mastered my chocolate chip cookie recipe. Homemade is the best!

Tell us three songs on your music player’s playlist.

Jessie Ware – Say You Love Me, Ryan Adam’s new album and Ingrid Michaelson – After Life.

Thank you, Lonna!
